Non metallic materials commonly used in the production process include nitrile rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, chloroprene rubber, etc. With the advancement of technology and the development of the rubber industry, EPDM rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chloroether rubber, hydrogenated butadiene rubber, etc. are gradually being used in the products of high-pressure hose manufacturers to manufacture high-performance, high value-added hose products. Non metallic reinforcement materials such as nylon and polyester fibers, aramid fibers, and other high-performance materials are gradually being applied to rubber hoses. Metal materials include copper plated steel wires with circular cross-sections and galvanized steel wires as skeleton layer materials.
1、 Materials used
(1) Ethylene propylene diene monomer Eli: It has excellent heat resistance, steam resistance, weather aging resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and excellent electrical insulation properties, especially good resistance to ethylene glycol ether brake fluid and vegetable oil. It is suitable for manufacturing rubber pipes that are resistant to heat, steam, and strong corrosion media.
(2) Chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber: It has excellent ozone resistance, weather aging resistance, good chemical resistance, excellent flame retardancy, oil resistance, and tear resistance. Suitable for manufacturing rubber hoses that are resistant to strong corrosive media, flame retardant, and ozone aging, and can produce rubber hose outer layers suitable for use in harsh atmospheric environments.
(3) Chlorinated ether rubber: has excellent weather aging resistance, good oil and solvent resistance. It has good flame retardancy and low breathability, suitable for manufacturing rubber hoses that are resistant to oil, ozone, weather, and low breathability.
(4) Hydrogenated polybutadiene rubber: It has excellent properties such as oil resistance, corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, dynamic fatigue resistance, ozone resistance, etc., and is suitable for manufacturing high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hoses with special requirements such as oil resistance.
(5) NBR/PVC: Excellent oil resistance, wear resistance, ozone resistance, good extrusion performance, easy to process, suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant and ozone resistant rubber hose outer rubber.
(6) Aramid fiber: Aramid fiber has excellent properties such as ultra-high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and lightweight. Its strength is 7 times that of steel wire, and its modulus is 2-3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber. The toughness is twice that of steel wire, and the quality is only about 1/5 of steel wire. It does not decompose or melt at 450 ℃, and has good insulation and aging resistance.
(7) Flat steel wire: It has high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, flexibility, and good pressure bearing performance. Especially with good resistance to torsion and bending deformation, high-pressure steel wire braided/wrapped rubber hoses made of flat steel wire have better pulse performance than those made of high-strength (ultra high strength) steel wire.
2、 Production process
1. Mix the inner layer glue, middle layer glue, and outer layer glue according to the formula using a blender, and use an extruder to extrude the inner layer of the high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hose, which is then placed on a soft or hard core coated with release agent (liquid nitrogen freezing method does not require a core)
2. The rolling machine presses the middle layer rubber plate, adds release agent, rolls it up, and cuts it to the specified width according to the process requirements.
3. Braid the copper plated steel wire or copper plated steel wire rope containing the core inner tube on a weaving machine, while simultaneously winding the middle rubber sheet on every two layers of copper plated steel wire or copper plated steel wire. Tie the ends of the wrapped steel wire between the steel wire ropes (some early winding machines required pre stressing and shaping of copper plated steel wire)
4. Cover the extruder with outer glue again, and then wrap it with a sulfurized protective layer of lead or cloth.
5. Sulfurization through a vulcanizing tank or salt bath
6. Remove the sulfurized protective layer, pull out the core, press the pipe joint, and perform sampling and pressure inspection.
There are many equipment used to manufacture high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hoses, with a wide variety of raw materials and complex production processes. The production process of hydraulic hoses mainly made of plastic or thermoplastic elastomers can be simplified appropriately, but the raw material prices are relatively high, and rubber raw materials are still the main choice.
