1. Adhesive backing: As silicone tubes belong to round tube products, customers generally do not choose adhesive backing. Diversified choices include 3M adhesive, flame retardant adhesive, mesh adhesive, fabric adhesive, etc. But the adhesion between silicone and double-sided tape is prone to detachment. We need an organic silicon processor to regulate this. The current technology can achieve both extrusion and brushing at the same time. Stick the treatment agent on one side to improve production efficiency and prevent the double-sided tape from falling off. 2. Cutting: Silicone extruded products themselves can be infinitely long, but many customers require customized lengths, which requires the use of cutting machines. At present, the mainstream silicone tube cutting processes in the market are divided into intelligent automatic cutting (cutting instruction: length ± 0.3~0.4, suitable for large volume products such as cables and electric shrink silicone tubes. It can be used for fast production at the same time), semi intelligent cutting (cutting instruction: also known as pneumatic cutting length ± 0.2~0.25, mainly for some wall washing silicone foam sealing strips and other sealing or circular tube products, suitable for cutting some sealing products), and manual cutting (traditional process, cutting length ± 0.1~0.2 is more accurate, mainly used in industries with high length requirements, such as silicone foam grips, selfie stick handle grips, etc., with slow production efficiency and very accurate product).
3. Adhesive: It needs to be cut first and then bonded. At present, bonding mainly includes high-temperature vulcanization bonding and room temperature treatment bonding. The bonding between silicone and silicone requires specialized silicone adhesive, and other adhesives are currently rare. Can be bonded. High temperature vulcanization bonding requires high-temperature mold extrusion vulcanization bonding. The characteristics of vulcanization bonding are: fast production speed, and it can be used within a few minutes after bonding. Suitable for bonding large quantities of orders. The main representative products include silicone seals for floodlights and silicone seals/strips for dishwashers. Room temperature bonding: Special adhesive is required for bonding. Just apply glue to the silicone joint and close it. No other operation is required. Characteristics: Slow production speed, requiring 24 hours or even longer to be left at room temperature before use, but with strong adhesion. Exquisite and suitable for bonding products with high aesthetic appeal. The main representative products include: silicone sealing rings/strips for lunch boxes, silicone sealing rings/strips for water cups, etc.
4. Screen printing and transfer printing: Currently, screen printing some patterns or logos on silicone products is very common in the market. Request customers to provide logos, pattern shapes, and color codes (Pantone numbers), and use ink and other materials to extrude silicone tubes, strips, and other products. When coming out, roll print on the mold to make the mold with ink printed on the silicone product, and then heat it at high temperature to quickly dry the ink and avoid ink splashing.
5. Spray coating and laser engraving: mainly through special processes, spray the patterns or shapes required by customers on the surface of silicone. Its characteristics are relatively exquisite and delicate. Representative products include silicone buttons, silicone hookah tubes, etc. Laser engraving is the use of engraving machines to carve exquisite patterns on the surface of silicone products. But the logo or pattern requested by the customer will be printed inside the product and will not fall off over time.
