Factors affecting the use and installation requirements of steel wire braided rubber hoses
Time:2024-06-12Page views:1113Steel wire braided rubber hose has a soft texture, good plasticity, and can withstand a wide range of working pressures. Here are the factors affecting its use and installation requirements.
1、 Factors affecting the lifespan of rubber hoses
1. When the ambient temperature is high, the service life of the hose will be reduced. Therefore, it should be kept as far away from heat sources as possible, and if necessary, insulation boards can be installed to prevent the hose from being heated at high temperatures.
2. Do not come into contact with other pipelines during installation and use to avoid friction and rupture. If there is a need for cross cutting in work, friction may occur, and protective devices should be used;
3. When bending is required, avoid the bending radius R ≥ (9-10) D (where D is the outer diameter of the hose) at the straight line from the joint to the beginning of the bending, which is greater than 6 times the outer diameter of the pipeline;
4. During installation, it is not allowed to be in a tight state and leave some length allowance. There should be no relative movement between the two ends, and the rubber hose should be kept loose. When the hose is compressed, its length and diameter will change, so the tensioned hose will expand under pressure, resulting in a decrease in strength;
5. During installation, avoid twisting the rubber hose. When the hose is slightly twisted, it may reduce its strength or loosen the joint;
6. The hose elbow and hose joint should be installed on the same plane to prevent twisting. In special circumstances, if the joints at both ends of the hose need to be on two different planes, clamps should be installed at appropriate positions to divide the hose into two parts, so that each part is on the same plane;
7. If the rubber hose is installed on critical components, it is recommended to regularly inspect or replace it.
2、 Installation method of rubber hose assembly
1. When using rubber hoses in situations where the space is short and the bending radius is small, a 90 degree elbow or other joint should be used, and sharp turns of the hose should be avoided.
2. When installing the hose assembly, do not twist it, otherwise it may be damaged or the connection may become loose when compressed.
3. When the steel wire braided rubber hose is under pressure during operation, its length will change. Under high-pressure operation, it will become longer, so there is usually a slight error. Do not add fixing devices at the bend after installation, let the hose move freely. If it is fixed, it is easy to come into contact with the fixed object and cause wear and damage.
4. Do not twist the rubber hose during installation, otherwise it may damage the hose or loosen the crimping joint when under pressure.
5. When the hose assembly is working, do not come into contact with any object to avoid friction. If the hose can be protected under specific circumstances, please use a spring sleeve or protective sleeve.
6. To avoid damaging the pipeline and limiting flow, the bending radius of the rubber hose should be increased as much as possible during budgeting.
During daily use, it is necessary to protect the rubber hose to avoid squeezing, smashing, etc. During normal use, it is necessary to check and replace the steel wire braided rubber hose. From a quality perspective, whether the product has reached positive sulfurization is manifested in the form of under sulfur or over sulfur. Improper vulcanization during production can lead to substandard product performance, uneven wall thickness of rubber hoses, and significant impact on the inner rubber layer.
