Requirements for the use and design of steel wire braided rubber hoses
Time:2024-05-14Page views:1135Steel wire braided rubber hoses are widely used in daily life and industry, such as in water pipes at home and in cars. They have a wide range of applications, and here we will introduce the requirements for their use and design.
1、 Precautions to be taken during design
1. The bending radius of the hose should not be too small, and there should be a straight section at the connection between the hose assembly and the pipe joint. The length of this section should not be less than twice the outer diameter of the pipeline.
2. The length should take into account that after the supply pressure of the hose, the length will shrink and deform, generally by 3-4% of the pipe length.
3. When installing the rubber hose assembly, it should be ensured that there is no twisting deformation. The joint axis of the steel wire braided rubber hose should be placed as close to the motion plane as possible to avoid damaging the hose when the two ends move relative to each other.
4. Avoid contact and friction with sharp corners of the machine to prevent damage to the hose.
2、 Security measures
In order to ensure the safe and reliable use of the hose assembly, in addition to the above regulations, the following precautions should also be taken.
1. Pressure: The working pressure specified for the hose should usually be greater than the system pressure. Only when not frequently used, it is allowed for the working pressure of the hose to be about 20% lower than the system pressure; For people who frequently use and bend and twist, the working pressure of the pipeline should be about 40% higher than the system pressure. If the impact pressure of the system is higher than the specified working pressure of the hose, it will not only reduce the service life of the hose, but may also cause personal and equipment accidents.
2. Temperature: The fluid temperature and ambient temperature, whether stable or instantaneous, must not exceed the temperature resistance limit of the hose. Temperatures lower or higher than the application temperature of the hose will reduce its performance and lead to hose degradation.
3. Fluid compatibility: The fluid inside the hose should comply with the regulations in the "Instructions for Use" section of the hose product sample. Using beyond the regulations cannot guarantee the service life and safety of the pipeline.
4. Appropriate end connection: Nuts are commonly used due to their convenience and low cost, but in situations of high vibration, the issue of nut loosening needs to be fully considered. In this case, flange connection can be considered.
The above are the requirements for the use and design of steel wire braided rubber hoses. Using them according to specifications can maintain the stability of the system.
