System requirements for selecting steel wire braided rubber hoses
Time:2024-05-21Page views:1094The steel wire braided rubber hose is composed of a rubber layer and a steel wire layer, which is used to keep the fluid conveyed by the hose inside the pipe. When selecting, it should be ensured that the hose and joint are suitable for the working requirements of the system. The hose assembly must have good chemical compatibility with the medium it comes into contact with, otherwise the hydraulic system may not function properly or the hose may age and fail prematurely.
1. Select based on equipment operating conditions and hydraulic medium conditions
The high or low ambient temperature of the hose can affect its service life and pressure bearing capacity. Therefore, the rubber hose should be used within its allowed range. If it is a special medium, it should be ensured that the inner and outer layers, joints, and sealing rings of the hose are compatible with the medium.
2. Determine work pressure based on system pressure
Each type of hose has a corresponding working pressure, and the higher the pressure resistance of the hose, the higher the price. Therefore, selecting the working pressure of the hose based on the actual pressure of the system can ensure the normal operation of the system and save procurement costs. If the system experiences frequent impact pressure, a steel wire braided hose with a longer pulse life should be selected, and the working pressure of the selected hose should be appropriately increased.
3. Select the inner diameter of the hose based on the flow rate
If the pipe diameter is too small, it will increase the flow velocity of the medium inside the pipeline, cause the system to heat up, reduce efficiency, and generate excessive pressure drop, which will affect the performance of the entire system. If the pipe diameter is too large, it will increase the procurement cost and affect the normal operation of the system, so the inner diameter of the rubber hose should be appropriate. When fixing the rubber hose with a clamp or threading it through a steel plate, attention should also be paid to the outer diameter of the hose.
The above are the system requirements for selecting steel wire braided rubber hoses. The selection of components needs to consider the type, size, length, system working pressure, system fluid selection, and usage environment of the hose. Please refer to the product standards.
